This was a pet photo session that I was so proud to be a part of. A month or so ago, I was touring the West Chester location of the Brandywine Valley SPCA and asked if they needed volunteers to photograph the dogs and cats that were having a hard time finding their forever home. As a Philadelphia area pet photographer (or as I like to say, “two-legged and four-legged family photographer”), I’ll look for any excuse to hang out with more pups. That’s how I found myself standing in the rain, squeaker in hand (second best tool of the trade, next to my camera) across from the sweetest, most lovable bunch of fur babies I could imagine. It was an absolute pleasure working with the Brandywine Valley SPCA as their West Chester Pet Photographer. Can you believe that these mutts from West Chester are having a hard time finding their forever home? I know! I couldn’t believe it either. The rain couldn’t damper their, or my, enthusiasm. During this pet photo session I could feel their spirits resonating and calling out for their match. Cindy, the bull dog, just wants someone to sit quietly with her and ply her with belly rubs. Jello, the Staffordshire mix, desperately needs to be your running buddy. Jeremiah, the hound mutt, is dying for a friend to teach him tricks and games. With every click I hoped desperately that they’d find you – that special person whose hopes and dreams mirror theirs. The daily dream of snuggles, runs, games, naps and, of course, to love and to be loved make up who we are.
Please come by the Brandywine Valley SPCA and get your best friend. They’re waiting for you. If you’re wondering who these pus are, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me for names and further contact info. Or you can start your furry friend search by reaching out to the BVSPCA.
