WHY YOUR SENIOR DOG DESERVES A LEGACY SESSION
Immortalize Your Senior Dog's Legacy with Lux Summit Studio

There are few things that bring me greater joy than celebrating the legacy of a senior dog. It is a tremendous honor to answer the call of a senior dog’s human reaching out to immortalize their canine bestie through a photo experience. Legacy sessions are a beautiful way to thank your heart dog for their lifetime of love and devotion.
Senior dogs teach us gratitude, resilience, contentment and so much more. Though they age, they may slow down, and they ache, but every day is greeted with fervor, delight, and hope. They inspire us with their daily lust for life and unwavering perspective.
Through this experience, our furry BFFs are elevated to their rightful status as the family we chose and that chose us. They’re featured front and center with the rest of the family photo collections. Each family shares the joy in their own way, knowing their pup is always with them, immortalized in timeless art that tells the unique story of their bond.

Frannie shared her story and bond with her 21-year-old love bug, Pineapple in our recent coffee table book, Old Friends.
When it comes to Pineapple, she’s just pure love and happiness. She was found as a stray in a very rough neighborhood, dragging her legs. She overcame that and did it with a smile on her face. She has outlived so many of her little dog's family, yet she welcomes each new one with love and acceptance. She is the definition of tiny but mighty.

The profits from the sales of Old Friends go to Monkey’s House Dog Hospice and Sanctuary. They featured the stories of senior dogs and their humans like Rachel, Dave, their kids, and their beloved doggo, Molly.
Molly teaches us to cherish and enjoy each day. She also teaches us the importance of family. From the minute we wake up in the morning, we are instantly greeted with a sweet smiling doggy face and a body-shaking tail wag. With each activity Molly gets to do from going for a walk to running in the backyard to resting while we play a game to playing with water from the hose, Molly's enthusiasm and spirit is felt.

Being intentional about commemorating the indelible mark of these creatures on our souls has been transformational for so many dog lovers like Jessica. She recently said of her photo session experience:
I cannot even begin to explain how amazing my experience was. I set up a legacy session after a health scare with my pup, and from start, to finish it was the best experience I could have imagined. Kristen took the time to understand what Lucas meant to me and how important this session would be. I lost my Lucas on Friday and just got back my [art] and I am smiling through the tears that we had such an amazing day and Kristen captured every essence of all things Lucas and me. I recommend that everyone do something like this with their pups because it was truly an amazing experience and I will treasure these photo moments forever. Thank you Kristen for capturing these absolutely incredible snippets of our life together for me.
